The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year.

Christmas is by far my favourite holiday of the year. I start feeling the Christmas spirit months before everybody else it would appear, yes I said months, and so it seems crazy to think that it is Christmas tomorrow! Despite my weeks and weeks of preparation, I still can't seem to wrap my head around the fact that Christmas has arrived already! None the less, I am still very very excited.

Egypt || Summer 2016

On August 16th I had the please of going to Eygpt for 10 days. It was a family holiday and was honestly one of the best experiences I have had. We stayed in a lovely hotel that had lots of waterslides, cute cats (all of which we named) and really polite and helpful staff. There were also a few neighbouring hotels that were all owned by the same person, meaning we could go and use the other hotel's facilities too! Unfortunately, we didn't realise this until the second half of the trip, but we spent the last few days enjoying the neighbour hotels massive pool!

Our hotel had the better waterslides, nicer grounds and was a lot less crowded meaning you really felt like the staff personally knew you. We really enjoyed that aspect. One night we went to the Asian restaurant. Our hotel was all inclusive and there were a couple buffets, where we usually ate. However, you could book a table at these specific restaurants for a more formal dinner. The Asian place was not only the best food but the staff were incredible. They spent the night joking with us and even took us back into the kitchen, where one the staff jumped out and scared me! It really felt like you were friends with all the staff and made such a difference to our trip.

18th Birthday.

I can not believe that I am 18. I seriously do feel like I am old enough to qualify as an adult! I can now legally get married, buy a house and vote. All things that include responsibility and scare me immensely. Anywho, it is what it is.

My 18th birthday was an amazing day. It wasn't exactly the traditional 18th celebrations but it was perfect for me, especially considering how I am still not well. I went for a breakfast brunch with my family at my favourite breakfast place and it was so delicious. I went for my usual... pancakes! Then we came back to our house for a little while to just hang out before a couple of my friends arrived.

I had the best afternoon catching up with my friends as we watched one of my favourite films (the longest ride), had afternoon tea and finished off the afternoon with some sparklers. It was such a lovely lovely time and it was perfect for me. To finish off my day, I watched another film with the family before heading off to bed.

I really did have an amazing day and am so thankful for all of my friends and family who could celebrate it with me.

My Bank Holiday Monday.

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Happy Friday! This week has been pretty busy for me (hence the lack of posts- I explain more later) and Monday feels like it was weeks ago. However, today I wanted to share what I got up to last Monday as I had a lovely time.

So as it was Bank Holiday, the entire family had the day off and we decided to go to Weston-Super-Mare. We never made it to the beach this summer and the weather was being very English so we decided on Weston. Weston is great for days like this as it still counts as a beach, but it has lots more to do. So we all grabbed our Wellies and coats and drove up there.

Once we arrived we headed to the pier. We all brought along our 2ps and spent them all on the 2p machine where I won a little teddy bear! Then we headed to a little restaurant where I had a sausage, chips and gravy (a beach day must!). A lovely lady thought me and my sister were twins because we both had our hair in braids and had matching coats. People often say that but I don't see it ! Haha! Having finished that we headed to the ice cream parlour. Now let me tell you about this ice cream parlour. The interior is very diner like (which I love) and they do the most amazing ice cream sundaes. So, of course, we purchased a HUGE sundae that is probably meant for 4 and shared it between 2. Then once we had eaten too much and felt a little sick, we headed down to the beach area. It was very muddy as the tide was way out (typical for Weston) but we were prepared so we went and enjoyed the mud. We messed around and laughed a lot. It was great fun! We finally headed off the beach where I went on the Ferris Wheel and Carousel (still my favourite beach ride) before finishing our day at Costa.

I had an amazing day and enjoyed every second of it. I also managed to snap some lovely pics that I might share some other time. Thanks for reading and have a lovely weekend.

P.s- It appears that school and blogging 5 days a week are a little difficult and I don't want my posts to become rushed and boring. Therefore I have decided to commit only to 1/2 blog posts a week. If I have more time then I will post more but I just thought I would let those who are interested or follow my blog aware.

Not so summery summer walks.

Hello and happy hump day! Fun fact: it wasn't until a year or 2 ago that I realised that hump day actually meant the middle of the working week and NOT a slightly saucy day. Mean girls makes way more sense now.

Anyway, on with today's post. So this time last week we had some family friends down for the day and decided to go for a lovely walk at Westonbirt Arboretum. I have mentioned this place a couple of times in previous posts, but basically, the Arboretum is pretty close to where I live so we often take advantage of this and go on walks. However, British weather being as unreliable as it is, decided that despite it being summer, it was going to be rainy and a little chilly too. Typical.

However, we still had a lovely day and I enjoyed every minute of it. I took numerous amounts of pictures on our walk, with such photogenic surroundings its hard not to, and thought I would share some of my favourites for today's post.

We found these BEAUTIFUL flowers that I loved. Look how nice they are! Definitely made me feel all summery, despite the weather.

There are tonnes of trees (obviously) but this one was huge!

My sister and I with our matching rain coats. I am 1000% obsessed with my coat and was actually pretty happy that the rain gave me an excuse to wear it.

I am not entirely sure what this plant is but it looks pretty cool.

My phone was full of photographs like this because it is just such a beautiful place. Despite my numerous attempts, it was practically impossible to fully capture how gorgeous this place is.

One of my favourite pictures I took.

On this particular day, they were doing a little family trail things that we took part in. It was a great idea to entertain the children (and the slightly older children like myself) and helped to give them some extra knowledge too with the quiz!

At the start of the trail, you got given a worksheet and a pencil. On one side of the sheet, there was a map that told you where the quiz answers were and little pictures that you had to find along the trail and tick off. There were little pictures (like shown above) that we had to keep an eye out for along our trail.

On the other side of the sheet, there was the quiz. There were about 9 questions in total to answer. Around the trail, there were bigger signs attached to the trees that gave you some information about trees. You then had to use this information to answer the given question. I thought this was a great idea to help the children gain more knowledge in a fun and entertaining way! The trail was aimed at children but I personally loved it!

My brother (Alfie) exploring the plants.

I am not entirely sure what I am doing here but I thought it was too funny not to include. I think it's the serious face that makes me laugh.

Here is my outfit that I wore for our walk. I wore my boyfriend jeans, stripey top, raincoat and trainers. It was a very comfy and practical outfit and I don't think it looked too bad at all.

Some of the trees were different colours which reminded me of Autumn! The arboretum is a great place to go in the autumn with all of the gorgeous colours.

Another fancy photo where I tried (and failed) to capture the beauty of this place.

We finished off our walk with a yummy hot chocolate from the cafe. Not your typical summer drink eh?

So that is all for today's post. I had an absolutely lovely time and hope you enjoyed the pictures too.

Have a lovely day!

Spring into Summer - OOTD

Having finally got my exams out of the way, I can now start to relax a little more. Today, with the weather being pretty decent I popped into town with my friend for a couple of hours. We did the usual browsing sesh with a hefty amount of giggles too. We both picked up some goodies, as well as having a good catch up!

Later on in the evening I then went on to play some ball games in the garden with my brother and sister. It was just one of those lovely spring into summer days that create lovely memories. So, of course, as a result, I wanted to share my outfit. I found this outfit very comfortable as well as suitable for the weather. Living in Britain, the weather is very unpredictable and not all that hot but this outfit was perfect for the day!

Top - H&M (or Primark?)
Trousers - Next
Cardigan - Primark
Shoes - ASOS
Watch - Oasis
Necklace - Primark
Glasses - Specsavers

Family walks

The other day my brother, mum and I all went for a little walk up Cherill Hill. It was a little chilly due to the wind but the sun was occasionally peeping through the clouds and so we decided to make the most of the decent weather (Typical British weather being unpredictable). We took a little kite and had a lovely time walking up the hill. Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the top for a couple of reasons. Firstly, we didn't have much time as we had other plans later on. However, the other and the probably bigger reason for this was due to the fact that my mum is terrified of cows! (due to a very unfortunate cow chasing incident). There were a nice little group of cows chilling at the top and so we decided not to go all the way to the top this time. However, it's little things like this that make life so special and I couldn't help but share.

My brother and I jumping in the flowers.

I love going on walks and who better to do so with than family.

Autumn walks

One of my favourite things about the season of Autumn is being able to go on walks and enjoy the scenery.
I am very lucky to be living near to the Westonbirt Arboretum, and we as a family have season passes so we get to come here a lot. We often take our dogs here for walks and its a really nice place to go.
We went around mid-afternoon and the weather was lovely. We had a very enjoyable walk and I took this opportunity to test out my new camera. I took quite a few snaps that I thought I would share. I really love the colours and this is one of my favourite places to be during the Autumn. This also makes it ideal for photos.
Enjoy!

Me looking rather tired.

Beautiful colour!

More lovely colours.

Alfie climbing trees again.

The colours reminded me of a traffic light.

I just love the colours in this!

Wonderful weather.

We really do live in a beautiful world.

Thought this was pretty cute.

Trees. Trees. Trees.

More trees.

This colour is gorgeous.

Sunset on the way out.

After our little walk, we stopped at the cafe for a delicious hot chocolate before heading home.
I had a lovely afternoon and really enjoyed taking some lovely photos.

Tenerife ~ Summer 2013

Sunrise from the airport just before we got onto our flight.

Amazing view from above the clouds.

First appearances of Tenerife.

As we arrived at our hotel.

The room I shared with my sister.

One of my favourite tank tops from primark.

 Blue skies.

On Friday 23rd August, I and my family travelled out to Tenerife for a week. We were up at 2am on Friday to go to the airport. Due to past experiences we gave ourselves ample time before our flight to check in and get some breakfast. Of course me being me, I had pancakes. Finally, we set off on the way to Tenerife and after a 4-hour long flight full of hot chocolate and music we arrived. Once we collected our luggage we boarded our coach on our way to our RIU hotel. Our hotel was absolutely amazing and believe it or not the first hotel I had ever stayed in. The staff were so friendly , the hotel was huge and the facilities were fab! On the first day, we just relaxed by the pool trying to get a tan. However, I either look like a snowman or a tomato, never an in between so I found this task rather difficult. Later on in the evening, we went for a gorgeous meal before bed.

That's all for now, however, i will be writing more about the rest of my stay in Tenerife soon so be sure to come back soon!

Thank you for reading,
