Fashion Museum | Bath

This summer is (hopefully) my last summer before I am off to uni and so I am trying super hard to make the most of it. However, between my lack of money and the busy schedules of my friends, it is proving a little more challenging than expected. That being said, it has definietely encouraged me to explore more local areas and so came about a little outing the other week with the lovely Emma, a friend from school and a fellow blogger too!

We hopped on a train to Bath and walked on up to the Waterstones cafe. Good compant, books and coffee... what more could you want?! We had a spot of lunch, I had a mocha and we had a good long natter. Somehow I managed to leave without spending all my money on books (are you proud?) and we headed off to the fashion museum. Walking around Bath is always so lovely and there is always such a good vibe. Then just to make it even better, the weather was gorgeous! So, we mooched on over.

We managed to get the student price for the entrance fee which wasn't too shabby (my purse was very thankful) and the staff were so lovely. We walked around and took in all the beautiful clothes and interesting history behind them. I couldn't believe that I had never been before, considering how close it is to where I live. Finally, towards the end of the museum we reached the dressing up section. Now I loved dressing up as a child and I think I love it even more now! My family take our fancy dress very seriously and love a good costume party, so this was right up my street. We tried on a couple different items but the dresses were my favourite, even if it was a little big. I felt just like I could just go walk onto a movie set, it was amazing!

Once we had gathered ourselves and said goodbye to the dresses, we soon came to the end of the museum. We had a litte mosey around the gift shop and headed off. I am a sucker for any museum, gallery, e.t.c and it was the most wonderful day. I really want to visit more museums this summer and the Bath Fashion Museum was the perfect one to start it all off. A day full of sun, books, girly chats, coffee and fashion, it really was the perfect summers day.

I always forget to document little outings like this and it's something I really want to improve on. Having these little travel posts to look back on is so so nice and the more posts the merrier.

Have you ever been to the Bath Fashion Museum? What's the best gallery/ museum you've been to? I would love to know so I can add it to my list!

Thanks so much for reading and I will speak to you soon,

Lush Bath Bombs

Personally, I am very good at getting myself stupidly worked up and stressed over things that really aren't worth it (usually school), and one way that I like to relax is with a really nice bath. Usually, I find it pretty difficult to just sit and relax because I get bored so quickly but I have definitely found that a bath bomb helps me to relax.

In all honesty, I can't say that I have really tried many brands of bath bomb but I have always been a fan of Lush. Knowing that Lush is a trusty brand and loving the results of their products, typically it is my go to brand.

If you are stressed and in need of relaxing, I highly recommend Lush and their products.

Lush - Golden Wonder review

(excuse my weird hand position)

For today's post, I am doing yet another Lush review.
Just in case you somehow missed it, I am obsessed with Lush.
So I really enjoy going out and trying their products and today I am reviewing a bath bomb.
This one was part of the Christmas range which sucks because it was amazing!

So basically I had heard this was pretty good and I thought it looked pretty cool.
I mean it looks like a pretty little gift, what's not to love?
Based on this, I purchased it. Finally, after having it a few weeks I got around to using it.
And oh my, I was more than impressed.

Here are some snaps I took showing the bath bomb in action.

I think this is possibly my favourite bath bomb to date. Mainly because of the excitement
I got when using it.
First of all, when I placed it in the water, like all bath bombs it started fizzing and
one of the things I particularly enjoyed was how the colour spreads.
It was mesmerising just watching the colour spread around my bath.
But by far my favourite part of this bath bomb was the surprise stars.
Although i think someone had mentioned this to me before it had completely slipped my mind.
So when i discovered these beautiful little stars scattered around my bath i got more
than a little exited.

As well as being visually appealing it also left me smelling and feeling great!

Overall i 100% recommend this bath bomb as it was really quite good.

Lush - Christmas eve bubble bar review

So today I will be reviewing yet another Lush product.
I do tend to do quite a few reviews for Lush products as it is one of my favourite stores.
Today's product is a bubble bar.
This product was also part of the Christmas range that Lush bring out every year, so unfortunately is probably no longer available until next year/
Anyway, let's get on with it.

The main reason I decided to give this bubble bar a go was how it looked.
I don't particularly know why but I think it looks really cute.
It reminds me of a moon and as well as looking cute, it smells amazing.

I broke off this much of the bar and then simply just crumbled it under the water.
Then I watched the bubbles form.

This bubble bar gave my bath a slight colour and it smelt so good.
However comparing it to the comforter (another bubble bar) I was a little disappointed with a number of bubbles. This may have been due to the fact that I only used a small amount.
Despite not having quite as many bubbles as I had hoped, the bubbles that did form did live up to my expectations. The bubbles were fluffy and my skin was left feeling rather nice.

So that's my lush review for today,
thanks for reading.

Lush- Star light, Star bright Review

Lush is one of my favourite shops around.
Some people can't stand the smell and really aren't all that impressed with the store.
However, I am obsessed. Lush products smell wonderful and are so good for your skin as well as looking super pretty. What's not to love?

Anyway, the main purpose of this post is in fact not to ramble about my deep loving for the store, but in fact to review the Starlight, Star bright bath melt.
This is one of those products that I simply could not take my eyes off.
This bath melt is (for obvious reasons) shaped as a star and is a gorgeous sparkling silver colour.
Perfect.

One of the inconvenient things about this bath melt, however, is that when you pick it up it immediately leaves a stain. However, this didn't bother me in the slightest.
Previously I hadn't tried a bath melt, so I was intrigued to give it a go.
As I placed my beautiful star in the bath I took a few snaps to show you what happened.

By the end, my bath was left a lovely turquoise colour (even though you can't really tell via the picture).
Watching the bath melt, well melt, was rather entertaining as I watched it unravel. On top of it smelling and looking great it left my skin feeling so good. I was well and truly impressed.
Overall this bath melt was absolutely super and I will 100% be purchasing again.

Thank you ever so much for reading,

Lush relaxing bath

So the other day I decided to try out some of my gifts and have a Lush bath.
I was very pleased with the result.

First of all, I lit up my 'fireside treats' candle. This smells so heavenly I could eat it.
This is (in my opinion) a very autumnal smell and it was just perfect for my cosy lush bath.

Whilst my water was running I added my bubble bar 'the comforter'. I crumbled it under the water to produce bubbles. The only way I can think of describing the bubbles is fluffy and sweet.

As I didn't want to use it all up before I got another one, I still had this much left after using it. However, it still produced plenty of bubbles and well as leaving my bath smelling wonderful and looking rather pretty.

Next, I added my 'space girl' bath bomb. This looked amazing so I was very excited to use it.

The end result gave me a lush smelling bath and I loved watching it fizz away. The oils also left me feeling very relaxed.

I also used this opportunity to try my 'rub rub rub' shower scrub. This left my skin feeling hydrated and fresh. My skin feels so soft and smooth and I really enjoyed using this scrub.

The final products I used were my simple face wash and mango body wash from boots. I love this face wash for the bath as it is slightly thicker than my other face washes and reminds me a little of a mask. This body wash smells amazing and is also great for the skin.

This bath left me feeling relaxed, smelling great and with super soft skin. Overall very enjoyable!
Highly suggested!

Lush 'cinders' review

As part of my birthday present, one of my friends gave me a Cinders bath bomb from Lush.
Now I have a bit of an obsession with Lush so this was perfect.
This bath bomb is in their Christmas collection so I was very excited to try it.
One of the first things I noticed about this bath bomb was the smell.
It basically smells like Christmas. It's made with almond oil, sweet orange and cinnamon leaf oils, and this is one of my favourite scents yet. I can't wait to go and purchase another!
As soon as I dropped it into my bath it immediately started fizzing away, filling my bath with colour.
As it continued to fizz away, the colour spreading, the wonderful scent started to fill my bathroom.
It kept fizzing and within minutes I had a wonderful yellow bath that smelt heavenly.

This bath bomb made my bath so relaxing and my skin felt so good afterwards. After a week of exams and mocks, this was exactly what I needed.
I defiantly recommend giving this bath bomb a go.

To conclude.... It smells good, it looks pretty cool and it leaves you feeling great.
I will unquestionably be purchasing it again.
